Women are the first teachers for their children. Right education will lead to the right rearing of self and their generation. This is the major reason why every girl child should be given the right of education. Education begins from the walls of School, wisdom and knowledge of teachers to the ears of every child in that school. That’s our MurugaDhanushkodi Girls’ Hr Sec School’s moto too.
Found in the year 1964 by the great and respected Thiru.T.S.T.Rajah Avl, Thiru.T.A.M.A.Marimuthu Nadar Avl, Thiru.P.P.M.Dhanushkodi Avl, Thiru.K.C.S.Kasi Nadar Avl, Thiru.A.Sankaralingam B.Sc., Avl, with an ambition of creating several Wonder Women in all varieties of fields. With outstanding facilities including world-class laboratories, library and services, our school runs for the welfare of the 3300+ girl children, offering economical schooling but with a high-end infrastructure, making our children feel safe and active inside the campus.
Our children on the other hand have been showing marvelous achievements each year and have succeeded in various fields starting from sports to science. Using the help of NSS, Scouts & Guides, JRC, RSP, SPC, Medical club, NGC, Consumer club, Heritage club, Red ribbon club, we are planting the seeds of good deeds in every child’s heart to render their service to the upbringing of the society and nation.
Girl children are the architects of change, and their dreams have the power to transform societies, carpentered by teachers using the stronghold of school’s pillars. And we are very proud to contribute every year with an enormous amount of women shining their lights and strengthening the nation with education and empowerment.
As an old pupil, then a teacher to becoming an Asst.HM and now as the Headmistress of this prestigious institution. I’m a living witness of how education at the right place can shape one’s life and the future.
Here we are, as a team of teachers, office bearers, helpers along with the management encouraging everyone to value education as priority and spread the news of freedom and right to educate a girl child worldwide because a girl without education is like a bird without wings’.
