MurugaDhanushkodi Girls’ Hr Sec School celebrated ‘PONGAL FESTIVAL’ on 13.01.2023 at 10 a.m. in a grand manner. Sweet Pongal is prepared on the stage and all worshipped the ‘SUN GOD’ along with Sugarcane, Turmeric etc. Mrs.K.Sasikala, M.Sc.,M.Ed.,(Headmistress, MDGHSS) delivered a warm welcome address. Mrs.S.Dhanalakshmi, M.Sc.,B.Ed.,(B.T.Asst in Maths) gave a wonderful speech about the importance of Pongal festival and traditional games. Our students participated in TamilNadu’s famous folk dance and silambattam enthusiastically. TamilNadu’s traditional games like Pallanguzhi, Pandiattam, Thattangal, Paati mandram, preparation of traditional food varities were conducted for the students. Board Members and Teachers participated in kayiru Izhuthal and uriadithal enthusiastically.Our school had a Gala Sangamam. Sweet Pongal is distributed to the Teachers and students.
